OK. I give - what is the hole for in the driver side tunnel cover? I have searched and searched and cant seem to find anything on it and/or what it is used for.

Are you asking about the hole in the side of the tunnel? That's for routing wires if you use a speedometer that isn't GPS. The only hole in the cover is for the shifter.

It's shown on page 221 of the base kit manual. I didn't use it, as to keep the floor clear. Instead deciding to run it in the tunnel to the engine compartment.

Then it used to be used for the donor transmission harness.
Almost never was used even back then.
