I have been looking through posts to see if anyone has any recommendations for Car Covers for the MK4. Thought I read somewhere that the Miata cover is a good fit for the car.

Chilly

I bought the Miata size from Advance auto just for temporary use as it's cheaper and water resistant. The Miata is essentially the same dimensions as the Cobra, but this cover still is baggy. The sites I've seen most people recommend for good all weather covers is Car Cover World (https://www.carcoverworld.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=cobra) and Covercraft (https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/vehicle-covers). One of the more popular ones is the Weathershield HP (https://www.carcoverworld.com/covercraft-weathershield-ac-shelby-cobra-cover) for the Factory Five.

Very happy with my Carcover World Covercraft Weathershied HP Cobra cover. Fits well and waterproof. Bought the locking cable, padlock, and storage bag as well.

In the bag:

In the trunk (it'll compress):

155893

On the car (I have two roll bars and the front and rear bumpers):

155894

They have some good pricing! Which one did you go with and how bulky is it when you put it in the bag? I'd like to be able to travel with my cover and still have room for my top in the trunk.

Thanks, Bradley.

I went with the Weathershield from carcoverworld as well. It's thin, which makes it fit well in the bag for storage. Not cheap though. I keep it in my trunk in case I get caught in the rain. Fits my Cobra with two roll bars perfectly. I believe you can designate one or two roll bars.

It fits in the drop trunk. It is definitely a little heavy but I wanted an all weather cover. I think if you are creative you can do both.

Read the descriptions carefully. Some covers are dust covers, not waterproof. The Weathershield HP FFR is waterproof. They will flatten out a lot in the bag. Should fit ok with top.

They have a sale going on right now so I picked one up. I did the third one down, the Deluxe - hoping for thinner and lighter. I don't plan on storing outside, just an overnight here and there.
Thanks.

I couldn't pass up 148 bucks for an outdoor cover, so I went with carcovers.com

Note when ordering years ago for my driving trip to the London Cobra Show they shipped the incorrect cover, the number on box was correct but wrong cover inside. They ship me another one overnight by 10am the day I was leaving. They said ship the other cover back when I got back home. Then when I got my credit card statement they credit me back for the full amount. Great customer service!!!

I just received the cover I got from carcovers.com and I really like it, especially the price. I got the Deluxe Shield Car Cover because it was thinner and lighter but still a rain shield. It fits really well int the trunk and on the car.
It’s pulled tight because I have the wind protection on it - a couple of clips and bungees at both ends. They were very worth the 16 extra dollars.

not an all weather cover but a very nice, form fitting & soft dust cover for in the garage from amazon. I have a standard outdoor cover too in the trunk but its heavier.

I got mine here a while ago. It was the Weathershield HP I think. They have a variety of price points depending on what you want and lots of color options including a Sunbrella option. All custom fit for Factory Five, Superformance or Backdraft cars.
