Hi all.
I am the new owner of GTM 412. This is a Gen II kit
I bought the "Mostly complete" kit and am in the process of making it a car.

Doing an inventory of what I drug home, I see I need some parts (more requests likely to follow).

Though I would check here (and the other forum) before calling FFR

Very early inventory of parts I need/want are

1 Fuel filler. Not sure if it matters but this is the one that measures 98mm total diameter. 80mm from opposite fasteners. I think this is the standard filler that FFR ships with the kit.

1 Windshield Wiper Arm

Things I know I want, but they dont offer any more
Front Sway Bar

Rear shock mounts

I like GTM Custom Parts - Quick Racing Products offerings, but they dont make them any more.

If any of you have these parts lying around, and are willing to sell them, let me know please.

Doug

1. You are talking the aluminum fuel filler neck/cap? I don't have any extras here....and you are not going to like the price on those. I think the last one I had to buy was around $250.

2. Not sure what arm that's off of....we always just use the one provided from FFR, but I'm guessing it has to be a standard part off another vehicle.

3. You're talking about the FFR "recall/upgrade" lower control arm mounting bracket? I don't think you can get those thru FFR anymore, but I do have the parts drawn up in CAD to make those here as we have had to make a few of those for cars that didn't have them installed.

If you're in need of anything else, you might find it here:

New guy dumb question

How do I know if I have the new recall/upgrade control arm bracket?.

I believe if my memory is correct, the wiper arm was a stock Corvette part. At least on the Gen I version, not sure about the gen II.

I'm not here to speak badly of anyone, but ALL the "fixes" for the rear shock mounts that I have seen, even the QRP design that we are currently using with success on the FFR PDG GTM race car, are a single shear design. Not what it should be given the performance level of this car and what that shock mount is being asked to endure.

I like to think of myself as a pretty creative guy, but I can't seem to come up with a real double shear design. That said my choice for rear shock mounts would be:

1) QRP
2) Improved FFR
3) Original FFR

There just isn't much room to work with and the forged aluminum lower control arm makes things even more challenging.

The wiper arm is not a Corvette part.....it comes with the GTM kit....I just don't know what car it is off of.

For the lower shock mount, the original ones from FFR are just "open" on the top and FFR sent out an additional part that "boxes in" the top part of the mount to strengthen it and beef it up. I'll post a couple pics.

The red arrow points to the original shock mount bracket. The purple arrow points to the upgrade/recall bracket that added support to the original bracket to help prevent it from flexing and breaking.

This is what the upgrade bracket looks like all by itself. It is simply bolted on over top of the original bracket.

Great! This is a great piece of information!

Thanks!

Well that euphoria was short lived.
I have the original ffr mounting brackets.

I hope someone response with a QRP kit (or maybe even the FFR Upgraded brackets) they never uses, but in the meantime i will start drawing up plans and buying beer to bribe my fabrication friends.

Are you going to track your GTM? I don't think I've ever heard of the unmodified shock mount failing on a street GTM? You could check the metal for fatigue cracks every 3-6 months depending on how much you drive.

I've seen at least one GTM come in here with the original mounts already damaged/beginning to bend/cracked.

I do have one set of the FFR upgrade brackets sitting on the shelf here. Shoot me an email if you are interested in them.

I've purchased parts from Dino's when I had my C-4 because they've got a ton of stuff.

https://corvettesalvage.com/product/c5-used-factory-five-gtm-supercar-donor-parts-list-1997-2004/

If you need Corvette parts to complete your GTM, they may be able to help you.

NOTE:..The Yoke for my MK-4 Roadster came from them since I'm running a ZF 6-Speed.
............I also picked up various parts from them because I owned my C-4 from 1995 until 2018.

sort of. I admit this car tells you more about my disposable income than about my driving abilities.
I attend one or two open track days (thanks Greg at Ignite Performance) a year, so yes the car will be on the track, But with my driving talent, it will not be driven to the level talented drivers would subject it to. (I dont do kerbs, i brake too early, apexes are more of a concept than an exact spot on every corner...)

Here is the wiper arm for the GTM. I just ordered one as the one I got with the kit was on and off so many times, the splines were stripping.....
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000FPXUEI?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

I also ordered this wiper blade. It is about 1/8" shorter in height, so it give you a bit more clearance to the hood. It also looks much more attractive (and streamlined).

I hope this helps

Mike.

Thanks again.
Amazon got me a wiper arm quicker than FFR could respond to the email inquiring about a wiper arm.
