Tried to attached the male and female rods end to the handle to ratchet mount and they are at least 1/2inch short. I have wildwood rear brake installed on a IRS rear suspension. The steel cable inside the parking brake cables seems to be too short. Any suggestions?

That happened to me too and there are spacers to fix the issue. Check page 21 on this instructions from Factory Five's website. Shows using spacers to slightly lengthen the attachment. Included with your kit? Would be easy to fab if not. Or contact Factory Five.
