Hey Folks,

I joined the Golden Gate Lotus Club last Sunday for their last autocross event of the season.

They put together this video- cool as I'm in it twice! I think that they liked my car.

Btw, I've sort of moved away from the forums and post mostly on Instagram.

Yes, that looks like a lot of fun. How competitive were you? Was that your first autocross.

Thanks for posting. Nicely put together video, that was fun to watch in my lunch break.

Yes, that looks like a lot of fun. How competitive were you? Was that your first autocross.

This was my second autocross and I set out to specifically slide and thrash the car- one lap I completely spun it.

That said, in the 'Fun' group, not being a Lotus, where times ranged from 60.8 to 75 seconds, I ran a best time just under 65 secs which was fast than the Lotuses.

911s absolutely dominated.

That said, here's 2 laps from inside the car- first is sliding and slow, second is 4 seconds faster, just to make the point:

Also my Nitto NT01s never really got heat in them and slid around quite a bit- all fine, just out to play.
Maybe I'll get some autocross wheels/tires next year.

I've got maybe 10 HPDE days on the car and about 12,000 miles of seat time in it.
HPDE is my thing and autocross is just a quick fix.

Check out my other thread on Portland International Raceway.
