I wanted to do something a little different. Thoughts on going with a 5.2L Voodoo from a GT350 w/ Borla Induction 8 stack? Torn on the trans though. The 5.2 goes out to 8200RPM and I believe that is a bit more than the TKX can handle. Stay with the TR that comes w/ the Voodoo and try to work out a shifter solution?

Looking at the 3160, unless its super short youre SOL for a direct shifter. You would probably have to come up with your own design for a divorced shifter and you would have to sacrifice the tunnel top bracing almost certainly to do that, which lots of people do. I would go for the TKX instead, and hope someone releases a mid shift kit for it before your build is done. The T56 magnum and TR6060 are both said to be good to 7500 from Tremec but plenty of them are shifted at 8k, Im sure the TKX can manage 8200 if tremec says the shifting is good to 8000.

My Coyote Aluminator redlines at 8K. Believe me, you do not do much shifting at that rpm, unless you are seriously competing.

Just curious, what ecu did you use?

How are you planning to use the car? Street cruising or track? For street use, these high RPM redlines make for interesting discussion (and bragging I guess...) but for actual driving aren't too meaningful. Unless you're busting every speed limit out there and you won't be doing that long. One way or the other. My Gen 3 Coupe has a Gen 3 Coyote. Official redline is 7500. When doing a WOT hit for Lund Performance during tuning, it went past that so thinking the crate PCM from Ford Performance isn't limited like the stock PCM. Whatever. In any gear other than 1st (T-56) it's wildly illegal at the redline. And gets there in a big hurry. I haven't been near the redline since. I don't drive it wild. But plenty aggressive enough. IMO, your thought of using a TKX, if for the street, is fine.

If that question is for me, I used the Ford wiring harness, kit. It included the ECU, which ran pretty good, but per instructions required custom tuning, used Lund.
