After reading a number of builds I have been putting together my list of "custom" parts I want for my upcoming build. A number of builders have used and recommended the Breeze 3 turn power steering unit. I have not really read what makes this unit different/better than the FF unit. If anyone can point this out I would appreciate it. I checked out the Breeze site looking for cost and could not find this rack. I checked with Paul and have found out that Breeze no longer offers this rack. (So sad) I'm assuming (I hate to do that) that the only choice now is the FF supplied unit. I have heard nothing bad about this unit but if there is any alternative I would like to hear it. I appreciate any/all replies.

The rack that Breeze used to sell was a Unisteer rack (P/N 8010460), which was a 3 turn rack with rack extensions already installed. When I called to order one, I was advised that Breeze no longer sold it, and that I should go straight to Unisteer for the rack, which I did. Recently I've heard that Unisteer now no longer carries that part number. I don't know if the FFR rack is now the only option, but the Breeze/Unisteer rack no longer appears to be an option.

Thanks John. If the difference was only the extensions not being preinstalled it's just a matter of a couple of extra steps. I guess I should put those pages back into my manual.

You can just go buy a rack at the parts store but beware. I just bought 2 that were only 1.7 turns lock to lock. Both were advertised at 3.

Isn't the rack just a standard FOMOCO Mustang part? Or have the newer updated roadsters gone to a different unit? The older models just used the rack out of the donor Mustang.

As far as I know its just a Mustang rack. Problem is there are different ratios and it seems its hard to get an ideal one.
