Good Day All!
Been lurking here for a while. Been interested in building something a little different, was looking at doing a locost 7 style car but thought my skills might not be up to building a frame, so I decided to do a 818S. Recently bought a wrx online that I will be using as the donor, got to get my work space cleaned up for disassembly. I plan to have the donor disassembled and gone before I have the kit delivered so one thing at a time. Not on a real timeline, I am remodeling the house at the same time. I figure that if I give the build equal time with the house, that will keep me motivated. :D Good to be here, I am sure I can 'steal' ideas from some of you to improve my build. One thing I am definitely interested in is the shifter mod that reduces the slop in the stock configuration. Been into cars for a while, loved my 1960 Monza Corvair for the handling, my 1970 sharknose Camaro for its' acceleration, and my ,believe it or not, Chevy Monza with a 305. It wasn't quick off the mark, but it was GREAT on the autobahn in Germany for high speed cruising. Anyway, good to make you folks acquaintance, hope we have many productive conversations. Pat
