Update - SOLD

I picked this 818 up in 2016 as an unstarted kit from a guy in Cali. I've owned a couple of STis and always loved the 818. I decided early on with this car that I wanted to go full STi with this thing and while this has drawn the time scale out for me some (and upped the "spend"), it's been a lot of fun and could end up as a really premium build. However, I'm starting a business that is claiming all of my time and energy and I really need cash more than I need a project/toy. The car has basically sat for the past year and I'm finally ready to throw in the towel.

Original Kit:
818S VIN# F5R1000124ES
Powdercoated Frame
Has some carbon FFR parts (Splitter and a lip spoiler, i believe)

Engine / Trans:
2006 JDM EJ207 and matching 6 speed. (has the twin scroll cast header)
Pair was bought as an import and while in the process of redoing (and minimizing) the factory vacuum hoses I pulled off the intake manifold. There was apparently some water that got into the manifold and settle down into the heads. It needs to have the heads pulled off and valves out to clean out the ports. If you don't want the EJ207 I'll knock $1000 off the price. It's definitely a bit of work to fix, but could be worth your while if you're up for it. I do have a matching JDM ECU for the motor.

Transmission has been de-snouted, and has had the center diff deleted and welded up to a spool. it's removable if you ever need to to trans work, but it's on there good and will hold all the power you can put to the ground.
I have the Zero Decibel 6 speed bell crank adapter. (beautiful piece!)
Has a brand new VF37 twin scroll turbo.
Also includes a really nice Frozen Boost air-to-water intercooler. Circulation pump, hoses and radiator are installed and this system can handle some serious power without the lag.

Driveline/hubs:
I'm including a few axles both front and rear that I was considering turning a socket so that i could weld and splice them together, but at the end of the day it may make more sense to go with something purpose built.
Hubs are from an 04 STi (meaning they're 5x100). Have good condition rotors from same year STi.

Brakes:
Got a few options here. I have 4 Cadillac ATS Brembos (same piston count/diameter as the original STi ones), and I bought an adapter kit to mount up the fronts on the STi knuckles. (fronts are good to go). Bought an additional pair with the intention of doing a square setup but never got around to designing the rear hub mount adapters. I also have a pair of rear STi Brembos that do mount right up to the rear knuckles and rotors. (6 calipers total)
Brake lines are run and there's an adjustable hydraulic regulator that knocks down the pressure to the front calipers. I was concerned about brake balancing with the front being so light. Adjustment knob is under the dash and reachable while driving.

Shifter:
K-Tuned billet shifter that has been modified to have the STi reverse lockout function and shift knob thread. Another beautiful piece of machining.

Seats:
I have a few different seats. First I'd planned on using a black set of WRX seats from a newer car because they had the same high bolstering that the STis had... but they're black which I prefer.
I also have a thinner backed non adjustable JAZ seat which I planned to run on the driver seat. (I'm tall and wanted as much leg room as I could get).

Fuel cell:
This car came with the first generation tank (which I am including), but it's garbage, both from a connections perspective and an internal baffle perspective. slosh city, makes the seats' position way too far forward. So... I designed a narrower/taller wedge.
My tank has better baffling, and I've already set up a gauge for it that will be compatible with the STi cluster. It's currently uncoated.

Cluster:
I have two clusters. One is an older WRX one, the other is a Prodrive (blue) STi cluster that has the correct 7250 rpm and reads in mph. They're kinda rare and I thought it would be cool in the 818.

Wiring:
There is a rudimentary body harness that's homemade that's on the car, but it's not finished (although does include a ton of terminations for the various items it plugs into). I'd honestly recommend getting an iwire since it's not done but if you're brave (which this project almost certainly requires), you may be up for it. We never began the process of tackling the engine harness integration to the body harness but I do have a complete engine harness for the EJ.

Lights:
These early 818s used early 2000s Camry headlights. The stock ones look awful to me. So I bought a nice set of halo projector lights that won't be so recognizable as a camry.

This car is one of the older body style, white fiberglass kits. FFR does sell the nose upgrade if you want it to look current.

I think I've hit the highlights. If I've missed anything please hit me with questions.

I'm asking $12k for this kit. I have about $22k invested (that's pre-COVID money lol) and know that I'm at a heavy loss on this. As I mentioned earlier, if the motor is a turn-off, I'll keep it and discount to $11k.

I'm located in NW Houston and I welcome any questions and trade offers.
