I ordered my Hot Rod Truck kit last month, expected completion date in March. I was hoping they would be a little more forthcoming with info as I'd like to have subassemblies ready to go when it gets here. Simple questions may be able to be answered here as they don't call back and take a long time to respond. For example, does the A/C add on include the compressor and if it does, what compressor is included? I want to get the pulleys on, bellhousing and trans done.

They also were unable to describe the differences in bed design or even say which ones were in which photo. I have since figured it out and will be changing to the Smokey Road system.

It will be a GT40P 5.0 with Edelbrock Pro-flow and Gurney Weslake valve covers, five speed, salt flat wheels, dark blue body with fenders, saddle leather, satin bronze chassis and wheel centers.

Just a hint. The optional A/C system Factory Five is supplying for the truck is the same one used in the Hot Rod. Their part number 34691. This systems uses a very compact Siroco brand evaporator. Necessary for the Hot Rod which has a very limited amount of space behind the dash. Similar to the Gen 3 Coupe where I installed the Factory Five A/C which used the same evaporator. The Truck, on the other hand, has a lot more room and you can do better IMO than that system. For my Truck build, I used a Vintage Air 960-68000-VUZ-A Gen II ComPac Evaporator Kit. The Siroco evaporator has two outlets that are uncontrolled and on all the time. So you route your hoses to provide whatever evap, upper, and lower airflow you want. But you can't control them other than opening and closing vents. The referenced Vintage Air evaporator, on the other hand, is more OE-like with controlled evap, upper, and lower airflow using servo controlled doors in the system. It's a little more work because you have to buy all the components separately rather than the complete system offered by Factory Five. But the Vintage Air instructions in my experience are quite good. Overall cost is about the same. Something to consider. I show the installation in my build thread, linked in my sig line below.

BTW -- Answer to your initial question. Compressor NOT included with the 34691 system. It is included with the 34692 Coyote system. Says that in the order form description plus explains the difference in price. Good luck with your build.

Thanks. Mike just got back with me, he suggested a Fox body configuration. Going with March:

Is this the unit you used? https://www.amazon.com/68000-VUZ-ComPac-Evaporator-Defrost-Dedicated/dp/B06XXRDM8N

Thanks Lewis. ('35 on order)

Is that toward me? If so, yes, that's the one I used. Stated in post #3. Got mine at JEGS. Summit also has it. Both cheaper than the Amazon link.

I have a compressor you can have for cheap. It came with the FF ac kit for my Type 65. If interested, I can ship it from Florida mid February.
