Hi Guys, happy Saturday. Took my car out yesterday for a nice 90 mile drive. 48F. Had the heat seat on and heater on. Awesome! body, butt, arms, legs and torso were nice and warm. Had a thin pair of Gloves on and my hands did get chilled. Has anyone installed a heated steering wheel, or know where to get one??

They have heated steering wheel covers , I dont know how good they are or how you run the wire . Just google .

thicker gloves might be the simplest solution.

Martin - this is a Cobra, not an Escalade! Just kidding. 48 degrees (especially for WI) is not that bad. Talk about being cold after you've driven in sub-32 degrees! ;)

I'm in "it's not an Escalade" group however, I have heated handlebar grips on my Harley, not much different. Mighty nice when it's cool out.

Another reason I am glad I live in Alabama. That thought has never come across my mind :) Now.... putting Air conditioning in anything and everything I can is the trade off.

The trick is to wear wind-proof gloves. I have a set of these gloves stuffed down next to my seat where I can easily get at them on those cooler days.

Another idea... consider heated gear. When I used to do a lot of motorcycle touring, I had a heated jacket liner and heated gloves (along with heated grips and a heated seat). The combination of all of that gear made it bearable down into the 20's.

Since I didn't install a heater on my build, I added one of these outlets under the dash:

I can plug in 12V heated gear (jacket and gloves) and be nice and comfy.

I love my seat heaters in Alabama. haha
I can find a day every week or so through the entire winter when I can get the car out year round.

Martin, started thinking about your desire for a heated steering wheel again. Here are a few options: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=aftermarket+heated+steering+wheel&gclid=Cj0KCQiA4b2MBhD2ARIsAIrcB-Q-BcECl-gtmmLjGX78R2ZxqVnhEcZ5DcctNHr5YHrMwOTOHkqvFy4aAqke EALw_wcB&hvadid=384232063081&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9021556&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=6750042229013865432&hvtargid=kwd-298449994739&hydadcr=5768_9590512&tag=googhydr-20&ref=pd_sl_6dd12bj8j2_e

You just need to wire in a lighter plug. Then you can use the heater when it's cold and store it in normal times!
