I got the seems down with 80 grit, now on my MK3 i went down to the fiberglass, no gel coat, do I need to do that on the MK4 ? Or just know the seams smooth and put rage over it ?

On mine every seam was a little different. Some could be sanded down and finished with just primer. Other places had voids that needed filling with reinforced filler then filler and primer. I fouund some places on the rear quarter seams that still had liquid gelcoat in the seam and the body was over a year old! Needless to say that needed more grinding and cleaning.
