Let's see, what does one do while waiting for POL and MIK list items to arrive? Yes! Wade into body work :-)

Just wrapped up sheet metal for foot boxes after pre-installing Bi-Mat on side surfaces. Riv Nuts targeted for the driver's side foot box top, if anything to better access balance bar tweaks.

I plan to make scoops functional for cooling of the foot boxes, so this is on my mind a bit. Scoops are great, unless it is raining, with or without a vent kit, such as one can buy from Breeze. So I am thinking about how I can let air in, but not water. This is part "A".

Part "B" is I am not installing side windows. I will inevitably create a swimming pool in my foot boxes. On my to-do list is weep holes. I note there is an incomplete weld along front side of the driver's side foot box. First thought is, "Great! Built in weep slots." :-) Second thought is when it is raining, those slots are a natural ingress for water coming off the front tires

My intent is to apply Quadmat to the foot box floors. And then there is carpeting, ..., etc.

So, two questions: A: What approaches have you taken with footbox venting to let air in and divert water when it is raining, while using the handy-dandy scoops? B: What kind of weep holes might you have designed to effectively drain the foot boxes? Part B2 is whether you have sealed up that weld gap between frame and foot box floor, or just lived with it?

Best ... Bob
