E-Brake Handle Clearance - Does This Look Right?

I've searched the forums and wasn't able to (easily) find a photo showing a normal or expected clearance between the e-brake handle and the transmission tunnel frame. Can anyone let me know if this looks right? Not sure if there will be enough room for the panels and then the carpeting.

It is typically tight like that.
One of the things I like to do is slot the hole in the front to swing the handle outboard just a little bit more.
Once you add carpet and in most cases sound and heat protection it gets really tight.

Flipping the front bracket over buys you a few more millimeters
