View Full Version : Rear harness routing to hood?

Hi all, I am curious how people route the branch of the rear harness that goes to the trunk up through the trunk floor. I would love to route it though the passenger hoop stub but it looks like it'll be impossible to get a drill bit through there. Pic of the branch in question below. Thanks in advance!

I go through the trunk floor just ahead of the angled roll bar mount.

Like your flooring, I'm about to install some polyurea flooring myself.

I did mine through the side wall panel just behind the shock tower.

The process includes a complete diamond grind of the floor, all pits/cracks are fixed, basecoat (polyurea), chip and clear (polyespartic), 4 times stronger than epoxy and lasts longer.

I was very similar to Papa. I fed it out the side by the back roll bar mount. Used a grommet to seal it up on the outside.

I followed Papa's lead and went with the side aluminum on the passenger side of the trunk.

Thanks Blitz. Curious, why the tape on certain areas of the aluminum? What’s the benefit of that? Thanks in advance.

That’s a common aluminum tape. I ran it along all my seams. Probably overkill but between the silicon and that I’m pretty confident I won’t get any water in there from underneath
