I am in the process of mounting my Breeze bases (same ones) to my steel-frame FFR leather seats (same as in the pics) and I'm not getting what this mod would do for me. I do see what you're doing, but I am trying to figure out where the advantage is. Using the bases as-delivered from Breeze means that unscrewing four knobs allows you to move the seat four positions fore and aft, or remove the seat entirely.

Sorry AJ, I should have explained it better. This mounting is in the 33 Hotrod. What I ran into was, once the seat floor plate was mounted to the floor, it was impossible to get to the rear nuts that mount the seat plate to the floor plate with the seat attached to it. So I put bolts in the seat mount base{tack welded} that go thru the seat frame rails. This way you can just pull up the seat pad, unbolt it and take it off. Then onbolt the seat mount base from the floor plate and adjust the seat if needed. I'm tall so my seat is as far back to the waterfall as I can get it.There is no room to get your hand in there to mount the seat. Also this mounting keeps you from having to cut holes in the corners of you seat upolstery. Hope this helped. Tom

Does the Breeze installation kit come with one frame for the driver, or two frames for driver and passenger? Couldn't tell from their website.

Breeze Automotive http://www.breezeautomotive.com/ is a supporting vendor of this forum and has been around forever. Mark Reynolds is the owner, he is extremely helpful and detailed. He ships so fast that the UPS guy usually rings the doorbell while you're dialing the phone to place the order.

PS And a note for Thomas, the misunderstanding was on my part -- when I replied asking for the benefit, I had seen the post under "what's new" and didn't realize I was responding to a thread in the '33 section. I'll try to be more observant in the future.
