So I'm just starting to dig into the wiring harness and was wondering if there is a way to determine what size the various wires are in the harness? I'm trying to size up Weather Pack connectors and figure out what kind of load the circuits can handle but I have no idea what the actual size of the wire is for reference. Is there a list somewhere? A way to measure them with a calipers perhaps?

you can just look at the fuse size

Here's a link to a size chart.

NOTE: This is the actual wire size, after insulation is stripped away.

The OD of the insulated wire is not a good indicator of the gauge of the wire, as the same gauge wire from different manufacturers can have different thickness of insulation on it. The best way to identify the wire gauge is to strip off a small section at the tip of the wire and then measure the bare wire.

Whenever I had a question on gauge size, I called Ron Francis tech support. Give them the version of your wiring harness & they know immediately.
As for the measuring, note that solid wire of a given diameter is a different gauge than multi-strand wire. I don't know which variant the table Ducky posted is for.
And yes; you need to measure the diameter of the conductor only - no insulation.

I tried doing the strand count / measure earlier today and it didn't seem to fall in line (probably user error). Giving RF a call sounds like a much easier way to go.
