Hey All…..Stewart dropped off my Roadster kit a few weeks ago and I finished up the inventory on Thursday, Oct 9. If my inventory is correct, and I wouldn’t bet a plug nickel that it is 100% accurate, the “MIK” items totaled about 10 items, or part numbers. Not bad as far as I am concerned. It’s mostly fasteners and the like with a few exceptions. The POL stuff is rather extensive but read on.

Regarding the POL stuff, I sent an email to FFR Customer Service asking as to whom I should contact about MIK and POL items. Within a matter of a few hours I received a reply from David Lindsey, a customer service guy I presume. He forwarded the email to the partsales guys and again, within a few hours I received another email from Brent Mello with a detailed list of what I could expect in terms of getting some of the POL stuff. My POL had about 70 part numbers on it and Brent gave me a heads up on about 35 of them ranging from, “in stock,” to mid December or thereabouts, and a few of: “Vendor having issues.”

All in all, it was better news than what I expected giving what we all know about supply chain issues but I have to say I was impressed with the prompt replies from the FFR people. I am cautiously optimistic that I will be able to move forward without too many issues of “needing something right now and I’m at a standstill without it” sort of thing.

Anyway, thought I would pass this along in hopes that it would give some optimism to those of us in similar boats. Build on!!!

Take care all……Greg

I ordered my full kit from F5 in December and all my additional parts from their Canadian distributor in January. 10 months, and I'm STILL missing important stuff like the front lower control arms, the Wilwood pedal box, and the WHEELS.

If you have the lower control arms and the wheels, consider yourself lucky.

...And I have to consider calling F5 to ask why customers who ordered after me are getting their parts ahead of me. Am I nuts? Legitimate question, right?

Have fun on your build! Minus all the parts craziness, it's a lot of fun.

Your experience is similar to mine. The crew at Factory Five really tries to get back to you, and usually within a day or two. Some have reported longer response times. But hasn't been my experience. FYI, Dave Lindsey (AKA Mad Dog) has several roles at FF as far as I know. He's their webmaster and also has been helping answer emails and customer service. Brent Mello is in purchasing, and at this stage probably your best source for finding out about part status.

I also had this happen on a couple items. But it wasn't a big deal to call and inquire. It was a simple clerical error and they corrected it swiftly.
