Hey All…..Stewart dropped off my Roadster kit a few weeks ago and I finished up the inventory on Thursday, Oct 9. If my inventory is correct, and I wouldn’t bet a plug nickel that it is 100% accurate, the “MIK” items totaled about 10 items, or part numbers. Not bad as far as I am concerned. It’s mostly fasteners and the like with a few exceptions. The POL stuff is rather extensive but read on.
Regarding the POL stuff, I sent an email to FFR Customer Service asking as to whom I should contact about MIK and POL items. Within a matter of a few hours I received a reply from David Lindsey, a customer service guy I presume. He forwarded the email to the partsales guys and again, within a few hours I received another email from Brent Mello with a detailed list of what I could expect in terms of getting some of the POL stuff. My POL had about 70 part numbers on it and Brent gave me a heads up on about 35 of them ranging from, “in stock,” to mid December or thereabouts, and a few of: “Vendor having issues.”
All in all, it was better news than what I expected giving what we all know about supply chain issues but I have to say I was impressed with the prompt replies from the FFR people. I am cautiously optimistic that I will be able to move forward without too many issues of “needing something right now and I’m at a standstill without it” sort of thing.
Anyway, thought I would pass this along in hopes that it would give some optimism to those of us in similar boats. Build on!!!
Take care all……Greg
