I have a customer who wants to add ABS to his GTM. Looking for anyone who might have a known-working donor ABS unit (EBCM) and the connector pigtails to go with it that they might be willing to part with? Thanks!

FYI the 97-99 are different from the 00-04. Which computer are you using?

You can usually find pretty much any item that you are looking for at Dino's Corvette Salvage.
They are about 15 miles away from where I live so I can honestly say that I have purchased items from them, though not many.
They are a reputable salvage company with an insane assortment of Corvette parts.
Shown below is their website:

The engine is using Holley Sniper intake and ECU....so there will be no link between the engine ECU and the ABS unit. I would prefer a '97-'99 unit if the later ones changed on the electrical hook-ups.....I have a '99 service manual here. This will be wired as a completely stand-alone unit with the only connections being the wheel speed sensors and other basic inputs.

Do they function as standalone units? If both generations work, I'd do a 2000+ as they can be rebuilt if they fail. 97-99 go in the dumpster if they crap out. And hard to find replacement units for that reason, typically $1k or so. Yes, I have a 99 unit in my car, didn't know that info at the time...

They do seem to operate as stand-alone units. I don't know how much of the "effectiveness" is effected by not having all of the sensors and ECU data signals hooked up, but it the basics do seem to work as a stand-alone unit to prevent the wheels from locking up.

Ok....might have to switch gears here. Now looking into the BMW MK60 ABS unit since finding parts for the C5 stuff has proven difficult. I've found info that says that for the Mk60 unit, you need to install wheel sensors/bearings for the Corvette from a C6 with the yellow sleeve over the sensor wires. Seems like I also recall that rear CV splines maybe changed somewhere along the way....or only for Z06 models? Can anyone verify that? Looks like I may be looking at something like these:

One thing I would look into if I was building now is another GM PCM and its associated ABS/TC/etc. Like the Pontiac G8. Even the C6 corvette would have better ABS options than the C5.

This car is not even using a GM PCM. He is running a Holley Sniper unit.....so the ABS is going to be truly a stand alone unit with no connection to anything else.
