Does any one have some pics of their fuel system from tank to engine. I'm ready to place lines and would like some visualizations. If you are using an external electric fuel pump, I'd like to see where you placed it. Thanks.

Hi Nick

We talk carb or injection?

Injection by Mass Flo. I'm just trying to get a plan of attack and seeing what others have done. I know what the manuel says, but may modify as needed. Mass Flo routes the lines opposite from what correspondence I've had with them. I'm sure it will all work, just looking for most efficient and streamline. Nick

I don't have any god pictures handy. I used an Aeromotive A1000 pump, and welded a bracket to the X-brace behind the IRS pumpkin. Then I used -8 braided line to the front, and -6 return.

Unless you're really planning on making a lot of power, it's hard to beat an in tank Walbro pump.

Nick,

I went with a Magnafuel QuickStar set-up as I am supporting a little bit of hp. I started with a custom fuel cell and had a bracket welded on to support the pump when the tank was made. I really like the QuickStar as my return is right off of the pump going straight up into the tank. I then ran down the passenger side main tube, and after a 2nd filter, shot right up to the firewall where my regulator is mounted. My fuel lines aren't connected to the carb in the pic as I was in the middle of a manifold swap. I love how everything turned out and has performed. Best of luck with your set-up!...Greg

Thanks Greg. I like the set up. I've talked to Chris at Mass Flo and will go with an in tank pump. The braided lines look nice. I've never used them before but may try on this venture.

I'm in the process of making mine right now. A hint I was given is use a nice wood chisel to cut the lines. Put the chisel on the line and hit it with a hammer a few times and it splits the line nicely. Works very well so far, and the chisel was $8 vs. $40 for cutters. Also, no tape or sealant on the AN fittings. If you're going to use the Mustang in-tank pump, the AN quick connect fittings are (Summit Racing, forum vendor):

1/4" - RUS-641300
5/16" - RUS-640860
3/8" - RUS-640850

Those are blue, change the last digit to 3 for black.

The pipes out of my OEM Mustang tank were 3/8" supply and 1/4" return (read some might be 5/16" so I added the part #).

Clemson thanks for the info. I will need 3/8 supply.
