I've been using a PermaCap for about five years. It works fine but if you are using a donor fuel neck you have to be careful inserting the nozzle to make sure it is fully inserted past the flapper in the donor fuel neck. I don't know if this is an issue on the complete kit fuel neck. It also generally takes some jiggling to release the nozzle from the cap.

Had one on my Mkll for years using a donor tank, it works great. I would like to put one on my Coupe but I have not found the right one to fit the new style filler.

assuming these just twist into the existing space that the regular stant gas cap fits into - correct? I'm curious about your comment about the donor fuel neck...
the reviews I've read is that you have to make sure you compress/decompress the spring for the cap on ingress/egress with the nozzle
I have a boyd tank so I may have a different angle of approach for the cap...
I guess in all essence it's a $20 gamble, if I don't like it - I can switch back to the regular cap :)

I've have one one my MKIII for over a decade with no issues.
I still twist the cap off.

The donor fuel neck has a built in flap. It would be possible to insert the fuel nozzle though the PermaCap but not the flap in the neck. You just need to be sure fuel nozzle is fully inserted through the flap in the fuel neck.

ahh - makes sense now... I don't have the donor fuel neck since the Boyd's Welding tank comes with it's own neck...

I have been using the Permacap on my MKii for years. Works great but you do need to be careful to make sure the fuel hose is fully inserted, and fill it SLOWLY!

Note: This is a screw-in cap for Mk3 Roadsters and earlier that are equipped with a Mustang filler neck. Does not fit Mk3.1 Roadsters with bayonet style cap or work with the Factory Five stainless filler neck.
