So I, like many, who received their kit over the past year received the "grey metal" ignition switch with chrome metal key. I believe there was some discussion earlier that the vendor had changed so FFR was forced to go with this slightly less aesthetic version. Certainly understandable.

That said, I originally wasn't too worried because I was going to go with a push-button ignition but now I'm starting to change my mind and think a key on the dash may very well be the best way to go. That said, I don't think the grey metal bezel is up to snuff aesthetically with the rest of my dash so I was hoping to upgrade.

That brings me to my questions:

1) does anybody know if there is a place to purchase the chrome/molded combo? Right now the best I can seem to find is the "Synergy" ignition switch and key from Ron Francis which looks promising but not exactly what I'm looking for.

2) If not, is anybody not using their ignition switch/key (chrome/molded style of course) and would be willing to sell?

That certainly appears to be the ticket!

Thanks.

Jeff,

How does this switch fit in place of the FFR switch? The FFR threaded part of the stem is 1" with a keyway to keep it from rotating in the hole. This one says the stem is 3/8", but looks like that may be the narrow part behind the threaded portion? I can't tell.

I was thinking of powder coating the bezel in polished Aluminum. I have powder coated my quick jacks with eastwood polished Aluminum powder coat and they came out beautiful.

That's an interesting idea. I hadn't thought of that. I'll have to look into it.
