I am looking for a replacement for the FFR provided corrugate tubes in the MKIV complete kit. I have a BPE 347 kit and will be using the FFR provide radiator. I am considering either the BOIG or Breeze solutions.
If I go the BOIG route, it will be the BOIG BMS-105 lower cooling tube and the BMS-102 upper tube with integral filler neck. If I go the Breeze route it will be either the stainless or aluminum (Kit 70783 or 70758). Both are comparable in price to the Boig lower tube. I dont see an option for the upper tube from Breeze. I plan to use the Breeze lower tube mount with either solution.
Couple of Questions
1) what have others used?
2) will the ceramic coating help with heat in the engine bay
3) does Breeze have an option for the upper that I am not seeing
Thanks in advance.

I have both upper and lower from tubes. They work perfectly and I have had no issues. I would think if it's involved with the cooling system, you'd want heat to dissipate rather than trap it in the tube. With all the air swirling around the engine bay, I doubt it would have any noticeable impact. I don't believe Mark has an upper available. I called Boig for mine when I found out Mark didn't have it and he took care of me.

I purchased stainless tubing then went to the parts store and purchased a few different hoses of the proper diameter with the bends needed to route the hose where it needed to go. It's worked out very well. The lower was a custom made stainless tubing that was bent and welded to fit along with a few short runs of hose.

I also have a BPE 347 and installed Boig upper and lower tubes. Very happy with the fit and look. I also used a Breeze "lower radiator hose bracket for round tube x-brace." All fit perfectly.

The earlier Mk1-Mk3 Roadsters used supplied rubber hoses utilizing an aluminum coupler for two hoses making up the bottom hose and the stock Mustang style upper hose utilizing the t-filler andan aluminum tube for the top hose. Inexpensive, easily maintained and easily replaced if necessary. That's what I run on my own car. For others I've done I've used just about every other solution including the ones from Breeze and Boig. Honestly the corrugated, flexible hose would be my last choice.

What is BOIG ? Found it ! \
I used Boig's Cool Tubes on my build. Beautiful quality and perfect fit.

Thanks for the feedback! I was leaning towards towards the Boig and think I am going to go that way

I also highly recommend Boig. Only recommendation is if you get them cut one of your radiator hose adapters and wrap is around the tube and then zip tie to the lower crossbeam or it can be a rattle monster.

Breeze also sells a bracket for the lower solid tube that mounts to the undersurface of the X member.

Mine never rattled, but I still wanted to secure it to the frame. I bought the clamp from Breeze and it works perfectly.

The hot setup is BOIG tubes with the Breeze Bracket, everything fits great and looks so much better than the flex hose.

Used the lower tube from Breeze, also Lowe's sells a plastic conduit bracket that works great for a lower support.
I don't understand why everyone is so concerned with heat in the engine bay? There is so much open space, and so much air flow in the engine compartment it just isn't an issue. I have an air intake temp sensor for the computer, you can see it between the stacks. It never reads more than 10-15* above ambient air temp when the car is moving, that is NOT something to worry about.

I looked at that photo and thought "Hey, that place looks familiar!"
I guess y'all don't want to hear about how to low buck it with a simple solution to make it all work using $40 worth of off the shelf Ford and Buick hoses.

But Jeff, it's way more fun spending other people's money!
Consider looking at Pegasus racing if you want some nice colored silicon hoses.

Colored silicon hose should be outlawed on anything other that Japanese Ricer cars.
Maybe I should get some for my Subi STI. :p

Rich, that single roll bar looks really great.
I for one really like the corrugated hose look. It was actually my preference but I'm a bit of weirdo that way. Having said that I do see the appeal of the SS hoses.

Rich. Thanks for sharing the perspective on heat.
What color is the silver /gray on your car? Thanks

What Jeff said! I used the corrugated hose to make templates and used those at my local Oreillys to find the right hoses. Like Jeff said...'bout $40!
