I saw a cobra at a car show with 18 inch wheels and absolutely fell in love with the look. The thing I can’t remember was if 18 inch wheels stick out of the fender more than 17 inch or whatever other ones. Do 18 inch wheels just sit deeper inside the fenders so they don’t stick out of the car further?

18" is the size of the rim. The width of the tire is a separate measurement. Most tires that fit the FFR rims will tuck inside the fenders.

Ok. Thank you. I kinda thought that but was second guessing myself like usual. Thank you

To be clear: 18" is the wheel diameter. Both the 17" Factory Five wheels and the 18" Factory Five wheels are provided in a 9" wide wheel for fronts and 10.5" wide wheel for the rear. Both the 17" and 18" are the same offset/backspacing.

Suggested tire sizes can be found here: https://www.factoryfiveparts.com/wheels/

Ok. Thank you. I didn’t look close enough to the specs that 17 and 18 can be with same width tire. ANOTHER overlook on my part. Thank you.

The 17 and 18 inch rims can use the same tire sizes, but the rear rim width and offset create about 0.84" difference in where the edge of the rim is with respect to the fender opening.

I don't know who did your paint, but that second photo is one hell of a positive advertisement for them. Hah.

That would be Jeff Kleiner's work. The ripple you see in the quarter is the 3M stone guard film. I've since removed that in favor of aluminum spats.

The FFR 18 is an 18x11 with 12mm offset/6.46 backspace. Its 1/2" wider than the 17 and has less backspacing, which is why it fits so much more flush than the 17.

Exactly! Here is a calculator tool view of the difference in the wheel width and offset:
