Hey all .Having quite the time installing the driveshaft .I have Tkx 31 spline transmission.I have the #16038 ffr 31 spline d/s 351w just having a hell of a time getting the splines to mess. Any tips or something I’m missing . My bad for not test fitting before installing engine and trans. Thanks

Something's wrong. Are you sure the splines match? Usually it's just a slip in. Are you having problems with alignment, getting the trans output and DS straight to each other?
But maybe I misunderstand the problem.

The splines or the rear differential coupling? My adapter for rear differential didn’t fit at first and they had to send me a different version. If splines, mine slid right in so I can’t help you there…

First thing is, did you remove the rubber shipping plug from the output shaft? It wouldn't be the first time one of those was pushed in during shipping and not allow the driveshaft to go in. Next, it's all about the angle. For the small block cars, I can usually hold the driveshaft at a downward angle and sort of towards the drivers side rear of the tunnel and get it to go in. With the Coyotes (especially the IRS rear) it more of an upward angle pointing up the rear of the driveshaft, again sort of angled to the driver rear of the car.

Kodiak you have some suggestions of a fix above. I have a suggestion that will also kelp us answer questions. See the signatures of above posters w/ detail about their car listed. That really helps us try to help you. In this case knowing what rear suspension you have would be great. Click 'My Profile' near top right and then 'About Me' center of the page 2-3 inches down from top of screen and then 'Signature' to add your car details.
