Looked around but didn't find an answer.
What is the general consensus on the best setup for Gen 2 Coyote cooling hoses? Part of me is a little sceptical about running the metal corrugated hose, and am leaning towards a regular auto coolant hose. Perhaps I am wrong. I may have an extra mustang cooling tank laying around, but I see some fancy Moroso parts in pics.
Could anyone point me in a good direction?

I'm going with a BOIG lower hose https://boigmotorsports.com/product/bms-104-lower-hose-kit-for-coyote-in-roadster-with-new-ffr-radiator/
I'll have to tweak it a bit due to my ABS setup... but if you're doing regular setup, it should work great!
as for the upper hose, many have used the F150 hose that fits onto the coyote outlet Motorcraft - Hose - Radiator (KM5114) (https://amzn.to/3ml6LN3) just trim to fit the length

I have a 2nd Gen Coyote and I am using Gates hoses for both the upper and lower hoses, however in my case not for a Factory Five. Power by the Hour makes a billet aluminum conversion fitting for the upper hose attachment. The PBTH adapter lets you use and clock the hose of your choice, helped me clear the bottom of my intake tube. To find Gates hoses, I found that the hose selection feature of the O'Reilly website to be very helpful. It lets you select 1.5 inch inlet and outlets and then lets you look at all the available hoses. I was able to find two hoses that had sections that had the right bends for both my upper and lower hoses. I then bought my hoses at Rock Auto as they are about half buying them locally.

I used the Ford F150 upper hose, but ground a new notch in it so I could clock it slightly differently to clear the PS pump pulley. I also used the Boig cool tubes lower hose. Details of both are in my build thread.

If Boig has cool tubes to fit your combination, highly recommended. His stuff works great. You mention the Mustang tank. The Moroso tank many use (including me) is an aftermarket version of that tank. But the main point there is if you go that direction, it's a different plumbing arrangement than the somewhat basic overflow setup that Factory Five has in their instructions. I recommend it and have used it on two Coyote builds. Makes the cooling system work the way Ford designed it. Discussed in my Roadster build thread here: https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?18591-EdwardBs-Mk4-8674-20th-Anniversary-Build&p=220495&viewfull=1#post220495.
