I'm considering either a BluePrint or a Forte Engine build. Blue Print doesn't have much customization available. Not sure if I want a 347 or 427 yet, just exploring both. Or, any advice on a local builder in Northern California? I'm sure shipping is pricey.

Thanks in advance!!

I went with BluePrint and love my engine. I got the 347 with EFI. I couldn't be happier.

I have heard amazing things about Forte's Engines as well.

Forte built me a 427W in a Dart block. Great engine. Won a lot of races with it. I'd call him again in a heartbeat.

Ted, Elliott Franklin is right in your area (Grass Valley) he built my Dart 427. I have 1400 miles on it now and so far it has been rock solid... he also has built a few other FFR Cobra engines in our area - Ken Pike also uses him for his cars. One of the nice things about using a local builder if something goes south he is easily accessible and you can also customize your engine how you want it. He will build you whatever you want, the guy knows his stuff.... been doing it for over 25 years.

Elliott can also order your trans, clutch, bell housing, etc...

His number is (530) 268-8403

I've got an engine from BPE and a axle from Forte. My belief is you can do no wrong picking either of them. BPE even allowed me to return my 347 and upgrade to the 427 and all I had to pay was the return shipping cost. They have been really good, just really slow (like everyone).

I agree going local is a good thing IF you have a very good engine builder. I went with Forte and the 351 Jessie put together was great. He even threw is a custom racing cam when the e303 was not available. Made the engine and sound even better.
