Hi folks. Long time lurker, first time poster. My name is Art, I live in Big Canoe, GA- a small community about an hour north of Atlanta, just inside the southern extent of the Appalachians as they reach down through Georgia and head over to Alabama. I'm a retired computer field engineer and love to design, assemble, and fix stuff. I recently completed a boat build (a Bullet from glen-l.com) and need a new project. I've admired FFR's Roadster since the Mk1 days and finally ordered a complete Kit (Mk4) in June this year. Also ordered a BluePrint 347 FI and TKX tranny. Both vendors claim the goods should be ready by December. Not yet decided on how to snag the car; fly to Boston, rent a box truck and have a nice road trip back to Jawja or use Stewart. If I pick it up, I gotta pay sales tax to the tune of almost $2k. Using Stewart has its cost too. Plus, their 53' trailer absolutely will not fit in or on the community roads in Big Canoe. I'll need to trailer the kit from some drop point around Atlanta. We'll see. I just completed the Build School in Flint- Fabulous course! Anyway, just wanted to get started here. Tons of questions of course, and I wont be shy in asking. Cheers!
