Has anyone tried 15 inch Trigo FIA 5 pin, pin drive wheels on a gen 3 Daytona Coupe. I have the independent rear 59.5 inches wide. Factory Five says they will not work. After measuring ,it looks like a maybe but very tight. The Trigo wheels are 15x7.5 and 15x9.5. I want to run 245/60x15 and 295/50x15.

I have not tried it on a gen 3, I have a gen 1 coupe with the pin-drive width T-bird IRS rear end, is something like 2-1/2” narrower than the standard width Fox axle. This was the recommended setup at the time for the Trigo wheels. There is no option for a narrow IRS anymore. Also, I’m pretty sure that the brake recommendations for the gen3 are bigger than 15” wheels allow for. I’m building my gen 1 to run on 15s on Torq Thrust Ds, 15x8.5 & 15x10, and just bought a set of Hoosier TD-Rs to use as finishing motivation to get the paint finished. Eventually I’d LOVE to put a set of the FIA wheels on it!!!

I built Mk 1 coupe #17 (FFR2758CP) and targeted Trigo 15” FIA wheels and pin drive adapters from the start. Crammed 12” (turned-down Corvette Grandsport) rotors and very close-fitting Wilwood Dynalite calipers into the front and 11-5/8” Mustang rotors in rear. Built custom caliper mounting plates front and rear. Front A-arms were standard width, rear were pin drive. As George T says, the pin drive Trigo 15” wheels may not be an option on Gen 3 coupes without lots of mods to reduce caliper dia to 12” max and narrow the track width in rear. Hope to bring the car to HB in Nov, I-90 and I-15 willing.
