Hello everyone. I have been pretty quite on the forum and have been building my Gen 3 for about 10 months now. I will start to install the wiring harness this week and wonder where you all mounted the Fuse block? Any ideas or pictures will be greatly appreciated.

Ed, after years of having to do headstands to check fuses, I decided to put my fuse panel below a removable panel on the top of my dashboard. There is ample room and the space was otherwise unused.

I put it on the angled tube above the DS footbox. I don't recall how much detail there is in the manual. But this is where the FF prototype is installed and also where I saw other builders mounting it. Worked out just fine. At first, looks like it's too low, e.g. might interfere with your feet or legs. Not the case at all. After now nearly two driving seasons, don't even know it's there. I get it's facing down and slightly challenging to see and access. Reality is it's wide open, if you need to do anything, a flashlight and/or an inspection mirror is all you need. In two years, haven't looked at it. Just drive. A word of caution. This location is probably the best from a space efficiency standpoint. Depending on how much you try to stuff behind the dash, it can get very tight. Mine has a couple accessories, heat/A-C with the requisite ducting, plus a glove box. I didn't have a square inch to spare. Suggest planning accordingly. First picture below is early and messy, but the best I had to show the fuse panel location. Second picture is mostly finished. Lots of other details in my build thread. Link in sig line below. Good luck.

I assume some modification has been made to the fuse block aluminum mounting sheet ?? On my frame there is clear interference with the hydraulic clutch master cylinder. Did you experience this as well?

If that's directed at me (I posted the two previous pictures of my build) I honestly don't remember. I did install a hydraulic clutch, so the pedal box and all three MC's were installed before the fuse panel and wiring. Don't recall any specific issues mounting the panel where there wasn't any interference. Maybe just moved it accordingly. Sorry, it's been a few years now.
