Not sure if everyone knows, FFR advised me the Halibrand wheels are due in November. I think this year :-).
I was told on 9/10 that they are due at the end of September. I'm guessing that's no longer accurate based on what you've been told. UGH!

That will be the 4th time that goalpost has been moved (April, then July, then August, now November)....I decided to go another route back in July and went to ET wheels. I had them in a week and was very satisfied.

17" and 18" Halibrand wheels are expected to be arriving within the next week or two. It sounds like the 15" Halibrands are a bit further out and we are waiting to hear on the updated ETA. We apologize for the delay! As soon as your wheels ship, you will receive a shipping notification with tracking info.

I was told the same thing for my radiator last year, first this month, then next month, then the month after, finally five months later I got it. POL, it's part of the game. Get used to it or get frustrated.

Had I known these were going NOT going to be in the initial delivery I would have ordered my kit without them and purchased elsewhere. ET wheels have some nice ones...a little more expensive but I would have had them already. Doesn't really matter in the long run since I don't have the suspension parts needed to have a "roller" chassis (another POL issue) I refer to my POL list as my PIA list - "pain in @ss". :p Ggunter is right - frustration or patience - that is the choice we have! Someday, we'll all have what we need to build our cars......someday!

I am not good at waiting. Some of the parts I was waiting on I bought elsewhere just to keep moving. I made a steering wheel out of aluminum, and rear struts out of aluminum square tube, bought a mustang radiator and spindle nuts, just to keep the job moving. I feel for eveyone right now. My frustraton level would not be good. It is a major PITA. Just keep telling yourself it will be great in the end.

you can always call FF and cancel the order for the wheels. they will credit you for items that you purchase elsewhere if they are backordered.

Oh dear we ordered our kit in February with 15” wheels… We finished drilling all the sheet metal this weekend and everything has been powder coated. 3 boxes from FFR enroute.

Good luck. I just had 3 arrive, it was carpet and steering components along with some shock springs.

I think Dave Smith reported on a facebook live feed a couple of days ago that they have over 100 (sets?) of 17" and 18" landed in TX. Instead of shipping to MA and then shipping out to customers, he's sending a couple of people to TX to direct ship from there so you get them that much sooner.

I can confirm on the 17" 18" - I just received indication yesterday that my 18" set is in the mail! For context, I made that order sometime in May.

All,
Some 15 inch rims are done, they've been done since Sept 1st, if your getting shipping from Texas its not the 15 inch rims
I've been waiting on 15 rims since July 2020. From Jan 1st through June 30th, no 15 inch wheel had even been made...they forget to check up on them.
Now the factory is on holiday, for what I understand is forever....
My car is ready for inspection but I've been waiting on wheels for over a year, keep in mind these were originally built before a man was on the moon. #USA....oh wait...all the parts are from #China
Dave personally called up, said he owned my account and promised the 15 rims would be at my house in 10 days, that was over a week ago and there still sitting in China.
Good thing they made me pay in full prior to shipping me any parts...

Your frustrations are understandable. Though the 15” wheels aren’t probably their best seller they are period correct. I went through Gordon Levy to buy special brake components to fit under those. I keep a positive attitude about these things cause hey it’s supposed to be fun and frankly it’s a hobby not a job. Though I feel you on the prepaying thing it does sting a little. Hopefully you get yours soon. Best of luck! Keep us up to date. For what it’s worth FFR has made good on everything on my Daytona build I find them to be very credible.
