I have truly searched every forum page I could think of, and other than the date of November 6th, 2021, I can't find any more information about it. I went the the factory five website and found their events page which confirmed this date, but when I clicked the link to register, I got the dreaded " 404 page not found". Is the event a go? Where can I register? Thanks to all!

Hi everyone - We're sending out an email to everyone who registered for the Huntington Beach Cruise-In, but wanted to post it up here as well to help make sure everyone sees it. Keep an eye on your inbox for the email from Sally. Here's what she said:

An Update on the 2021 Huntington Beach Cruise-In

Dear Friend,

I am sorry to have to bring you bad news relating to the Factory Five-Huntington Beach show. I was informed, at our most recent meeting before the City Council of Huntington Beach, that the middle block of Main Street will be closed to our car show to allow the restaurants in that area to have seating directly on Main Street (due to COVID). Although this was quite a surprise to hear at this late date, we completely understand why the City decided to permit this and we completely support those restaurants trying to stay in business thru this pandemic. Unfortunately this essentially splits the car show in two and that isn’t really tenable. The City agreed to a new date where we can have the entire 3 blocks and Pier Plaza.

I met with Dave Smith and we both agreed that we would rather do the HB show the right way. Therefore, we are delaying the show yet again and the Huntington Beach Cruise-In has a new date of Saturday, April 30, 2022.

Like before, you have a choice regarding what to do about your registration. You can either rollover your registration to the new date or cancel your registration for a full refund.

I spoke to the Shorebreak Hotel and for those of you who have room reservations for the Nov 6th event, you can change your reservation to the new date in April. I believe you will be contacted by the hotel but it would be good to contact them and make sure your reservations are cancelled and rebooked.

I will be changing over show reservations so please let me know if you will be joining us in April or if you would like me to cancel and refund your show registration. You can email me at sally@factoryfive.com.

Those of you who had previously cancelled your original sign up, you will have to register for the new show date again as we get closer to April 30, 2022.

Thank you so much for your understanding, patience and flexibility during these very unusual times. We really are looking forward to celebrating the Huntington Beach Cruise-in the right way and look forward to April 2022 more than you could know. Thanks again!

Most sincerely,

Sally Bean
Show & Event Coordinator

I'm frustrated you cant find any way to do anything for us on the west coast
many of us have been waiting 2 years
there are many places in California that would love to have factory five there
it just feels like we are being overlooked

LOL at feeling you're owed something by FFR. Personally, I'm just happy they've made it through the pandemic, and I'm sure that when they can, they'll be back.

I work more than most and there is no way I can go back there to meet them at this time
I literally waited to order my coupe type R so I could meet with them in person and go over everything
ive been waiting since i joined 2 years ago and I finally order my kit last month based on meeting them at Huntington beach
and now I don't know what I'm getting I wanted to go over everything I'm getting in depth and the phone hasn't worked for me
so yes a little disappointed

I doubt a car show is the best venue for what you're trying to accomplish. Those are more marketing oriented meet and greet events often with lines of people waiting to talk to Dave. Conversations are typically social, brief, and certainly not a deep dive into an order. Don't know how many others will be there from FF. Often customers help in the booth. Been there done that. You're way better off talking to someone in Wareham. The phones have been off for some time. But an email to INFO@FACTORYFIVE.COM should get a response. They are monitoring it. I'm assuming you received a confirmation of your order? That also should have a contact email address that you could try. Other options are to reach to other owners and builders in your area. Also you can post your order configuration on here and ask away with questions.

I agree with Paul completely. The shows are not the best place to sort out an order. Only a few FFR
Reps and hundreds of us. SEMA is even worse. Shows are a good place to get an overview and talk to other builders but Dave and his small crew are swamped just being social. If you want help sorting out your order, type up your specific questions and send them to FFR or submit them to the forum.

That being said, I’m also disappointed that the HB show is being pushed out. Love the HB venue but we may need to adapt and find another location. The restaurants are not giving up the outdoor seating. That’s a cheap seating expansion and it’s not like we attract business for them. Weekend beach traffic is the same whether we are there or not. Several options in Long Beach. My 2 cents.
