There was a previous thread on state taxes on roadsters. I just received my 2021 personal property tax. I am paying $387 on the MK4 Roadster assessed by the state at $13,545. Thought I'd add some numbers to the discussion. I am curious to see what others are paying.
Okay, I'll play. For 2021, my total registration cost for my MK4 was $202.49 with $108.32 being "Ownership Tax". This is in Colorado.

Check out the link in my autosign. Connecticut decided in 2019 to start assessing my 2004 roadster (2003 CoC) at well over $40K, then increased it another 20% in 2020. Absolutely criminal.
