Anyone know the part number of the FF provided tilt Steering Column? Chrome. I think it is an idit column. I may want to delete it from the order and order it from idit with the cruise control option added on it.
Thx. Tom

It is an ididit column. But it's a custom piece for Factory Five with the required chassis mounts welded to it. Fits perfectly BTW. My chrome tilt column had these markings on the box: ididit 1990590420, F5 Tilt CHR w/Mts NO Adaptor. I have no idea if ididit would sell it directly to you.
Note you have to install the turn signal stalk no matter what. If you opt for a turn signal mount cruise control, only difference is fishing the wire. I think I responded to your question in a previous post and said the wire was challenging to put through the column. It kind of is. But no comparison to trying to adapt a non-FFR column. Worst case, use the slip-on turn signal stalk and have the wire on the outside.

Hi Edward. Where or who do you get the stalk from? The slick way seems to get a stalk with cruise control and be patient fishing the wire. Thx, Tom

Typically whatever cruise control setup you get will come with controls. On the stalk is one option. I'm using a Dakota Digital CRC-1000-3 GM LS Drive-by-Wire Cruise Control Kit. That version comes with the turn signal stalk style controller that's mounted inside the ididit column instead of the provided turn signal stalk. The harness must be fished down through the column. They also have a version with a dash mounted controller (CRC-1000-2) and a version with a slip-on turn signal stalk (CR-1000-1) which I assume has the wiring on the outside. I have no experience with this one and don't know if it fits or not. Plus I wanted the wiring hidden. Dakota Digital has many other cruise control models. Their website shows them and what they come with.

I am looking at the same cruise control for a LS. I want the wire hidden and on the steering column. Thx Edward. Tom
