Goodmorning,

Anyone having problems with the length of the air conditioning hose that goes from the compressor #8 size to the upper f45 degree fitting on the condenser? Mine is about 4 inches too short. Those hose is cut to 4 feet like the paperwork says. Im running a 65 289.

Paper work on the vintage air does actually say factory 5 33. Im wondering if they sent me the wrong kit after 3/4 of it has been installed

Been trying to source the Parker Futura AC 8 BHK-SP hose up here in Canada but its not available here. And What's available, the outside diameter of the #8 hose is too small for the beadlock fitting. hose is so much thicker.

thanks
Nelson

my kit shipped with the hose uncut, I will need to check the size but I know I have some extra. PM your details and I will get it to you.
edit - I have a 3 foot length of hose it is hard to read the printing but it is about 1 inch OD and 1/2 inch ID
I am in Alberta so shipping will be easy.

Awesome Dave. It should say Parker Futura on it.

8BHK-SP should be on it.

inside diameter is 13/32" J2064/j51 should be printed on it too.

Do you really recommend the A/C on the MK4? Because of the open air, I was wondering. What about heater?

Thanks,

I guess it would b e where you are located. Heating yes because of the defrosting and DMV requirements. Air conditioning would be nice with the top on and driving through the southern states and hot summers every where else.
