Has anyone tried installing an adjustable seat slider to their bench seat?
If so, any product recommendations?
Thanks

Great question! I too have thought of this, interested to see what the responses are.

Space is tight, so you will probably need the seat as far aft as it will go - I am 5'8" and determined my most comfortable driving position is
with the top of the seat back against the rear of the cab. and elevated a about 3"rear and 4" front.

Talking about seat position. I’ve been driving my truck for a year now and having a blast. I’m 6’1” and I’m seriously considering not this winter but next chopping my cab behind the striker post and extending it a few inches for more leg room. I know the quarters will need to be cut as well. Pretty much like the Joey Lagono snap on truck . With 3 daughters getting married funds are low so I’m going to work with what I have and do a few more serious mods to my truck. Rob

Sorry for the delay in my post on this subject. Just got my username set up and just saw this topic. Since I've performed extension surgery on my 35 truck cab, maybe my "adventure" on the subject will help. I can provide some additional info/pictures if it would help. I added 5 1/2" of length to the cab and stuck sliders under my bench seat. It wasn't fun, but it's the best mod I did on this build. I severed the cab at the back mold seem, spaced the gap (pushed the back of the cab back) about 5 1/2" between the two cab sections, fused the gap with panels of wax paper/wood/aluminum and rivets, used resin/cloth to make the panels and connect the two sections, then did some body work. I also had to reduce the bed length by 5 1/2" so the overall frame length would be the same. I removed 5 1/2" from the bed side panels between the wheel and cab and glassed those sections back together. Let me know if I can provide more info or some pics. I documented the entire process. I attempted to add some photos. Hopefully my rookie posting status didn't mess them up.

Hi Glide, thanks for posting up. I am new to fiberglass work but will be cutting and extending the cab in a couple of months. So whenever you have time, I would love to see more pictures and details of your undertaking.
