Hi Frank

The seat won't line up with the the tubes in the frame, it's not meant to. There is a steel plate welded to the frame on the bottom side in that area which is where the seat mounts to.

Actually, if you're looking for a little more adjustability, order the Breeze Seat mount kit (link attached). It also raises the seat a bit and provides a nice fiber board for under the seat foam which supports it a lot better. Love mine.

Frank,
I scratched my head when it came time time to mount the seat. Jim's advice is solid. I mounted the breeze kit and am very pleased. I also added an adjustable mount to the breeze kit. gave me almost 4 inches of travel. I'm 6'3" and with the breeze mount my head is still 4-5 inches from the roof. heres a couple pics: 152571152572152573

Thanks to 33 and Blade for the replies.
Blade, you said u had 4 in of travel. Is that fore and aft?? Your own design to get fore and aft? Thanks.

4 inches from forward most position to the rear. Head clearance increases a little from the seat mount angle.

Just in case you are wondering, that flat board on top on the metal rails is VERY important. Without it, the seat feels fine, but a bit off. Then in a two hour drive when you get stuck in traffic, that back metal bar will start digging into you butt hard. I was sore for a day afterward. :)

Blade,
I am interested in the adjustable mount used. Do you have a link or any additional info you can share?
