Hi again... have not posted on the forum since I ordered my Kit back in March. I am now picking it up on August 24th and am looking for any lessons learned or advise on helping the process go smoothly. Also any advise on things to see in the area while I am there. I am taking a factory tour.
I am picking it up with my enclosed snowmobile trailer which is 24ft long which I will be towing with my Ford f-150. The trailer starts to taper to a point at about 18 ft... so they told me it will be a tight fit... but it will fit. I will be bringing lots of tie downs and and blankets to both secure and protect the kit in transit.
Thanks

bring a bunch of bungee cords, a tarp if the weather is bad, moving blanket to set on the floor under the frame if powder coated. Rope or tie downs to secure the body and chassis in the trailer from sliding around. You will fill the trailer and the back of the truck with boxes. You are next to Cape Cod with all kinds of beaches, restraunts, etc., to enjoy if you have the time.

I can't help with the pick up because mine is not ready yet. I have been to Michigan many times and both my GPS and Mapquest send me on I 95 through New York. The last time I went that way it costs $82 for the toll on the George Washington bridge. I was towing a dual axle trailer with a dual wheel pickup. Now I go around using I81 to I84 to I91. On paper it says 20 minutes longer but more often then not it is faster because of traffic on the bridge or the cross bronx exp. Hope you have a great trip

yeah even 40 minutes added to the commute is worth not going through NYNY. 287 is another option if heading up I95.
