Going to the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance has been on my bucket list for a VERY long time, so I was beyond thrilled to have finally made it there this year. It was every bit the spectacle that I'd heard, and an absolutely incredible day. Among the countless stunning cars on display were these two cars that are of special interest to Ford and Shelby aficionados.
First up is a rare (1 of 31) 1966 GT40 Mk I road car:

Wow! Gorgeous cars the lot of them. Had not seen the SP1 & 2’s before, they are stunning. The last time I went shopping for a Ferrari, these were not available. ;)

Awesome, thanks for sharing! I’ve been twice to the full weekend events, once being 2012 for the 50-year Cobra anniversary. Great time.

It is curious that the post refers to the GT40 MK I as a "road car". Ford built seven GT40 MK III (289CI) in 1967 as "street cars" with 8" longer body for luggage and ergonomics. There was not much buyer interest and making them street legal was cumbersome.
Beyond the original build, the spare parts at Holman Moody were built into complete cars, fewer than 20, I do not know which engine those had.

Wish I were capable of driving any one of them to the limits of their ability. Spectacular!
Thanks for the pictures.

Some beautiful cars
I quick question on the 1963 427 car, The spinners look like they are barely catching any threads. is that they way it was done on the pin drive wheels?

Pretty sure the taillights are from Fiat- I had the same ones on my Fiat Abarth 1300/124 coupe and Ferrari also used them on many of their models.

Sorry for being late to the game for thanking you for creating this post, but I've been offline for a few days.
Sharing your trip to Pebble Beach has put that show on my Bucket List.
