OK, let's have a little fun. I'm debating paint color, stripes, etc. One of the leading contenders is silver. I believe the "official" Shelby color was called Silver Mink. Here are two fine examples of that color. I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts on the overall livery of the two cars (main stripes, team stripes, meatballs, etc.) and how you think either of these would look on a MKIV roadster. My build features 18" wheels powder coated black with bare aluminum spinners, side pipes ceramic coated in satin black, black quickjacks, black dual roll bars, and all other trim (windshield, mirrors, lemans cap, etc.) in chrome.

Other questions for you all include, if painting meatballs on a car, do you prefer they include a painted number or leave them empty? Meatballs on the sides too, or just hood and trunk?

I believe this is the same silver color on both cars. The difference comes down to the lighting in the photos.

First up we have CSX 3016 with its very distinctive red, white and blue stripe running down the center:

Next up we have CSX 3040 with two white stripes and meatballs, and the two yellow team stripes on the DS front fender:

If I were going with meatballs, I’d go all in with the painted numbers and all of the sponsor stickers as well. The red, white and blue stripes on silver is one of my favorites.

Agreed. Empty meatballs look incomplete to my eye.

But if you like the look, go for it. You're the only one your car who gets to judge your car.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. Keep 'em coming! The monochromatic look of CSX 3040 (except for the two team stripes) is really classy but the red/white/blue of CSX 3016 is very unlike any other cobra I've seen and really pops.

Beautiful! Every time I see photos of your car it stands out to me. What exact color silver is that? I'm assuming the stripes are Wimbledon White?

Wow, nearly 350 views and only 17 votes? When did you all become so reserved with your opinions? :p

CSX3016...Silver & skinny red + blue - looks cool, and is quite unique...if you value your Roadster being a bit different for sure.

I'm not a big fan of meatballs, but they look better to me with a number...and you can pick something that has special meaning to you for another unique aspect.

Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Silver with the black pipes and roll bar(s). You could go with a black hood scoop too. Then the stripes.... I think I would choose something that highlights other components of the car.

3040 for me, but I would not leave the meatballs blank. Not a meatball guy, but if you have them, don't leave blank IMHO.
