Is it possible to replace the glass without removing the supports from the frame? Getting at the mounting bolts are tougher than I thought..

Easy. just remove bolts on side of each post, 4 per side after you remove the wind wings. Put tape or something under the frame to protect the paint.

Yes. I replaced the windshield without removing the upright supports. If you have the brass inserts be careful not to strip the threads on re-install.
