I’ve got a small leak from my oil filter relocater. I’ve taken the filter off and cleaned everything. I pulled the oil filter seal off the filter just to make sure it fit on the flat surface off the relocater. I put it back on the filter with some RTV also and still have the leak. Any ideas? (Removing the relocater is not an option so don’t give me that one)

Canton makes a ice billet filter relocation piece. Yours looks to be a cast unit which are susceptible to casting porosity.

Those cast bases are pretty famous for cracking and leaking. Probably from the pipe plugs. My advice is to toss it, and use a billit piece.

WE have the same piece for 15 yrs no problems. could be a defective oil filter/ it happens more than you would think.

I took it all apart and cleaned and resealed everything and it appears to have stopped the leak.
