I realize people have different paths of getting to the end result but….
Do you guide coat and block sand all your body filler before you spray poly? (And then of course guide coat/block sand the poly)
Or
Do you block sand body filler flat to the touch and then use guide coat when you block sand the poly?
I’ve started wondering how much 3 coats of poly actually fills to get perfect flatness. I’ve spent a ton of hours getting the body filler perfect. I figure the more perfect that is, the less work or problems in the next stage of spraying & blocking slick sand. I used guide coat when blocking the parting lines/filler but am doing the trunk lid and wonder if I need to also guide coat there or if the poly will be where I will get the imperceptible dips out when block sanding
