I wanted to share this to say thank you to everyone here that supports this forum and provides help and answers. I literally never could have done this without this forum. My daughter and I started our build last year on Labor Day. In February, we sourced a Coyote engine and MT82 transmission from a junkyard in Iowa. In May, we installed the engine in the frame…. And yesterday we started it up for the first time!!! Wow was that something. Again, the forum helped because at first it was starting and then immediately cutting out. I got on the forum and learned that it likely was a backward MAF sensor. We flipped it around and that did it! Started and ran!! Such a great milestone. I’ll insert a video below. Thank you again to everyone here. On to the next stage! (I need to get a driveshaft made so we can actually drive it)!

Nothing like an open header first start. Well done. Love your daughters reaction.

Priceless. After seeing the look on your daughter's face, I can only imagine the grin on yours.
I am also using a Gen 2 Coyote in my build, so the sound was really music to my ears.

Thanks! Yes, I believe every car has a purpose, so I try to get the right car for
the right job!!! Not pictured is a ‘66 427 corvette that I’m currently selling on Bring a Trailer. Ends Thursday. I decided to sell the Vette once we got into this Daytona. It’s going to be so perfect that I doubt I’d drive the Vette much anymore once this Daytona is done. Thanks again!
