What’s your “In The Mean Time” project?

I’m working on clearing out my garage and I just received a complete subframe rear end assembly from a 2019 Mustang GT. I’m in the process of removing everything I need for the roadster. It came with everything I needed plus a lot of stuff I don’t need but it was cheaper than buying the parts individually. Plus, I hope I can sell everything I don’t need.

Completed paint of my Forte's (Moser axle) and installation of the rear Wilwood calipers (went with a wheel that the FFR Wilwoods would not fit). Built the body buck. Not much else.

I'm also waiting on my kit, 8/28/21 completion date. I have the motor done and still need to paint the rear end. Finished the chassis dolly yesterday. I hear steering wheels are in so that's at least one more thing that shouldn't be on the POL list.

Start cleaning and prepping the donor IRS parts. There is some cutting to do to the spindles and hole drilling on the pumpkin.

After removing all the donor IRS parts I cut the upper control arm link on both knuckles and then machined and sandblasted each one. I will either polish them or Cerakote them, not sure which. I also cleaned up the mold seam lines because, why not?

Ah yes, the Nesting Period...

Brings back memories of frantic tool and parts spending, buck building, cleaning, reading build threads, posting test pics, updating my signature(asking for rights, if needed... ;)), making my empty garage my avatar...

Right on!!!!!! Also the sheer joy and excitement of the build to come without the realities that set in as you build LOL! Seriously though, this journey has been so amazing and every time I throw away a box and slide the inventory list for the box into my records I feel a little loss in my heart knowing I am that much closer to the end.

When you finish this one, there’s always the next one!

BTW, I checked out your home page. My wife is a dressage rider in third level. She has a Lusitano. Anyway, horses and cars are a good mix I guess.

HA!!!! Horses and cars are similar in that when they get up in the morning they have two things on their minds....homicide and suicide LOL!!!

My wife thinks I should sell this one when I am done and buy another I have had so much fun building this one.
