Build is a MK4 with IRS and Koni double adjustable shocks. The build has 30 miles on it. The suspension has done some settling and I assume some more will occur. I have my first alignment scheduled for next week and I want to ensure the ride height is set correctly for the alignment.

Question - currently, the side to side (driver to passenger) ride height is not the same while the coil overs height are the same. Probably around 3/10th of an inch difference. Should I adjust them so they are all different to get perfect ride height for the alignment or keep them as is? If I keep them as is which side should be set?

Thanks

No, don't try to chase ride height by have different length shocks. It is important to have both front shocks the same length, and both rears the same. Front and rear can be different, but not side to side. If you start changing each shock to try getting the car the same height, you'll have your cross weights all jacked up, and there goes handling and braking

Agree 100% with Rich's comment. Don't try to adjust side-to-side ride height. Adjust only exactly the same amount with the front and rear pairs. The only exception would be if you're setting using scales, e.g. chassis corner weighting. Then you can adjust each wheel independently and see the exact effect.

That’s what I thought. Thanks
