I am confused- do I need to cut 5/8” off the adjusting rods. The manual says to do it but the FF video doesn’t mention it. Thanks in advance!

Yes, you will probably need to cut some off. Otherwise the end of the pushrod will bottom in the clevis before the pedal is properly positioned. But my personal work practice is to attempt assembly first before cutting anything. That will confirm the cut is required and how much.

Paul's advice is the right advice. Test-fit first, and then cut in small increments as needed. That said, I will sheepishly admit that as a new builder I blindly followed the manual and cut off 5/8" off the adjusting rods and it worked out fine but in hindsight I think I dodged a bullet there.

Thank you and Paul. It was quite clear during test fitting that it required trimming the adjustment rods on all 3 master cylinders. I appreciate the guidance!
