View Full Version : My MKIV got a new Stable mate... Exact Matching color code. Twins!
I selected Ford Magnetic as my color choice for my MKIV build and finished her early this year. I stumbled across this neglected GT350R and picked it up for a steal. It is a real "R" and only 1 of 4 with the electronics package and Magnetic Gray with no stripes (I'm not a fan of stripes) this model year. After a couple weeks of TLC, here is where she's at now:

Congratulations! I have a 2019 GT350R in Performance Blue with White stripes as a stablemate for my new MK2. Both great cars but very different experiences to drive. I previously had a 2018 GT350 in Magnetic Gray with Lightning Blue stripes (sounds like a weird combination but it was striking). Your hardest part will be learning to delay the shifts on the GT350R, 8250 RPM Redline doesn't really start to sing until 4500 RPM.

Thanks, the black GT on the lift is now gone. Sold her after I got the GT350R. The '69 convertible in the back I've had for over 20 years. I got her the year after I graduated high school. The Ranchero is missing from this picture, but she was temporarily kicked out while I was dissembling the black GT.

Completely different beasts, both a blast to drive. The MKIV is brutally fast, while the GT350R is sooo smooth and just revs forever. Plus, it has A/C!

Love the color, and combined with the absence of stripes really shows of the Cobra's gorgeous curves :cool:
