Measurement Request

Can anyone give me some rough measurements of the distance from the engine damper to whatever is next going front? Maybe even a height from the crank center line up to the nearest height constraint would be great too.

I am trying to see if the current hotside I have in my donor vehicle would be able to fit.

I think it's going to vary based on whatever engine each builder chooses. Also what damper they have installed, number of belts, etc. I have an LS3 in mine with an ATI Super Damper 733011 as part of the frontrunner setup I'm using. Mine is 4-1/2" to the main frame crossmember in front of the engine. But it's only 1-3/4" to the steering rack that's mounted on the back of that cross member. Which intersects the circle of the damper near the bottom. Plus there are frame diagonals in the corners of this opening. Have to watch for those too. But like I said, this is just my setup. Others I'm sure are different. Bottom line, not a lot of space up there.

Oof, ok, thank you for the numbers. May need to rethink some things. :confused:

I have a gen 2 LT1 (basically SBC) with a 76mm turbo hung in front of ATI damper.
