View Full Version : 8.8” rear end with ABS sensor ring

I came home from the salvage yard with an 8.8” mustang cobra rear end for the 33 hr. Then I noticed the ABS sensor rings. Did I make a mistake or will I be ok. I have no plans for abs but will the extra length give me a problem later on?

I don't believe it's an issue. I built my 33 with the same rear end and had no problems.

there's a few cool you tube videos on the way to remove the tone rings which is what I did on mine. it was fun to actually destroy something for a change at that stage of the build.
I would keep it. If you ever want to rig up some sort of traction control it could serve as the rear wheel sensor.
